VT Nation’s Goods In Transit Insurance – PREMIUM PLAN

Are you still worried that there's no guarantee if you ship shipments from China to Malaysia?!

Don't worry! VT Nation only takes 4% of the value of your goods and can provide you with goods in transit insurance.

Goods in Transit Insurance is a new insurance plan launched by VT Nation. The purpose of this insurance plan is to ensure that customers can protect their parcels when they choose us to deliver valuables!

The insured amount is 4% of the total value of shipment and RM10 for service fees. It is only applicable to shipments with a value of more than RM1,000 and less than RM50,000. The minimum premium is RM40.

(2) How to calculate the amount you need to pay?

4% of the total value of the goods + RM10 service fees + RM5 per parcel inspection fees


For example: the total value of 2 goods is RM 5600, then you need to insure RM 224 (5600*4% = RM 224 ) + RM10 service fee RM 224 + (RM5 x 2) RM10 parcel inspection fees = RM 244.

(3) How does insurance compensate?

In VT Nation's PREMIUM insurance, there are two compensation methods:

(A) Full compensation

  •  If the insured amount is higher than the price of the shipments, the price of the shipments will be used as the compensation value. If the price of the shipments is higher than the insured amount, the insured amount will be compensated for the insured amount.

  • Proof that the warehouse has received the shipments, but the warehouse or company fails to distribute the shipments within 14 working days.

  • Shipments were found to be damaged and unable to function at 60% of their function. After the 100% insured claim is approved, the shipments will be owned by the company. The customer is responsible for shipping the goods to our headquarters and bears all costs.

(B) Partial compensation

  • If the insured amount is higher than the price of the shipments, the price of the shipments will be used as the compensation value. If the price of the shipments is higher than the insured amount, the insured amount will be compensated for the insured amount.

  • Damage to the packaging of the shipments and cause external damage to the shipments, resulting in the shipments functioning less than 10% of their original performance. 

  • If the shipments can be repaired, and the cost does not exceed the insurance amount, the company will bear the repair costs: labor and material costs, excluding shipping costs.

  • If the shipments can be replaced with replacement parts from Chinese sellers, the company will bear all costs of shipping shipments from Chinese sellers.

  • If the shipments cannot be repaired or replaced, the company will evaluate the shipments and provide compensation value. If you are not satisfied with the amount of compensation, you can ask for up to 1 appeal.

(4) Things you need to pay attention:

(a)Please contact Facebook’s customer service to apply for premium plan insurance

(b) Goods in Transit Insurance will be effective after the customer signs the insurance proposal with VT Nation. 

(c) If our company finds that it is necessary to strengthen the packaging or add on a wooden frame during inspection of the goods to avoid being crushed during transportation (reinforcing the packaging can only reduce the transportation risk), the customer must strengthen the package or build a wooden frame, else the company has rights to reject your insurance application. 

(d) If you find that the shipments are damaged, please give us feedback and give the Delivery order number and shipment information within 48 hours after being received. Overdue will not be accepted.

(e) The price given must be true. If the price does not match the invoice price, our company will be eligible to refuse compensation.

(f) If it is found that the invoice provided by the customer is false, no compensation will be paid.

(g) If the declaration is false or there are contraband goods, any additional legal liability or confiscated goods will be borne by the customer; the insured amount and shipping fees will not be refunded.

(h) After receiving the shipments, kindly take photos and videos (left, right & top) of the parcel before unpacking the shipments. 

(i) Please confirm that your shipments are items that can be insured by our company (fragile items, contraband items, etc. cannot be insured).

(j) If the shipments are damaged due to warehouse inspection operation, the company will verify if it is only packaging damaged or shipments damaged. If the packaging is damaged but shipments can be used, there’s no compensation for it.
